Detective Brian Kropp reviewed home surveillance footage after a car was broken into and an iPad and pair of Chanel sunglasses were stolen, Capt. Robert Kaiser said Monday.
Kropp worked the case and, with help from Hackensack police, arrested 58-year-old Kevin Gresham of Hackensack.
On Friday night, Gresham returned to the same street and was arrested, Kaiser said.
He was charged with burglary and sent to the Bergen County Jail.
A judge hours later ordered Gresham released pending further court action, under New Jersey’s 2017 bail reform law.
